Yes, you can telephone or drop into our office Monday - Friday 9.30-4.30pm. or Saturday 9.30-11.30am. We are here to listen and support any women experiencing domestic abuse.

How common is domestic abuse?
|
Domestic abuse is more common than people realise. In Scotland at least 1 in 5 women experience it at some point in their life. Only a minority are reported to the police. In the Clackmannanshire area alone in 2015- 2016 there were 698 reported cases of Domestic abuse to Police Scotland.

What causes domestic abuse to happen?
|
Domestic abuse against a woman by a man is a misuse of power and control. Perpetrators of domestic abuse choose to act in this way, due to a sense of entitlement, as such domestic abuse against women can be seen as a consequence of the inequalities that continue to exist in our society.
